Doddridge County Commission Meeting
March 5, 2024
The County Commission met at the Courthouse in West Union, West Virginia, in regular session, and the following business was transacted. Present; Shawn Glaspell, President, Clinton Means and Ronnie Travis Commissioners, Randee Britton Executive Assistance, and Lorena Catee Slater, County Clerk, was present for the meeting.
Approval of Previous meeting minutes- Commission Means made motion to approve minutes- Second motion- Motion carries.
Public Comments: Sam Rogers introduced himself and gave some background information on his experiences. He is running for Circuit Judge Div2.
NEW BUISNESS: WV State Tx Department – Erroneous Assessment – A Conference call was made from the WV Sate Tax Dept and the Doddridge County Commission. Deanna Sheets represented the Tax Dept and tried to explain the erroneous assessment error. After the phone call President Glaspell made the motion to reject the exoneration and Commissioners Travis and Means both seconded the motion- Motion Carries (SEE ATTCHED)
Set Meeting Dates for Budget Workshops- March 12, 2024 @4:00pm, March 14, 2024 @3:00pm, March 19, 2024 following regular commission meeting @ 4:00pm, March 21, 2024 @ 3:00pm and March 26, 2024 @3:00pm.

The Doddridge County Commission has voted unanimously to reject the Application for relief from Erroneous Assessment that was presented to them at the regular meeting on February 20, 2024.

Authorization of Change Order for Rock Run Creek Clearing and Tree Removal- President Glaspell made motion to authorize this order for $2800.00 – Motion Seconded- Motion Carries

Activity Report-
Feb 14- Attended the WVFMA Board meeting.
Feb 15- Meeting at the Doddridge/Ritchie 911 Center with the WVDOH District 4 to discuss installation of communications equipment at both the Archers Fork and Punkin Center towers.
