LEPC Minutes
Date: October 19, 2023

In attendance were: George Eidel OEM, Laura Stickel DCHD, Sam Meyers Antero Resources, Eric Ashcroft Doddridge/Ritchie 911, Justin Simmons Doddridge/Ritchie 911, Brian Lipscomb DCPP, Adam Farmery MPLX, Andrew Lowther Town of West Union, Jill Decker Antero Resources, Steve Brown Asert/Antero, T.R. Stutler Asert/Antero, Jason Nicholson EQT, Clinton Means DC Commissioner
Previous minutes from July’s meeting were approved – Sam Myers made the motion, Jill Decker seconded
Public Comments – No public comments
Mr. Eidel discussed the recent well pad fire that occurred with Diversified Oil
A review of the EQT tank fire off of Hughes River Road, Jason Nicholson from EQT discussed the incident. He thanked all of the first responders and others
Who assisted, nothing that a report will follow. A discussion on foam and training followed.
Mr. Eidel then gave an update on the two mitigation projects that he as working on, the Greenwood Elevation and Demolition and the Town Dam both are ongoing.
Mr. Eidel discussed the EOP review and update will continue next year
Mr. Eidel discussed the LEPC grant opportunities
Ms. Stickel talked about doing a safety fair and Ms. Decker suggested having a National Night Out program. We ill be looking into it and maybe doing one here in the county
Ms. Decker discussed upcoming exercises that Antero will be having, no dates have been set. She also talked about the grand opening of Antero’s facility on
Long Run Road in Greenwood that will be in October 25, 2023
Mr. Lowther gave an update on projects going on in the Town of West Union, a new sewer plant will be braking ground next year as well as an upgrade of new water pipes in town that will add new fire hydrants as a good portion of the current ones are not operating.
