Letter to the Editor

July 28, 2023
Dear Editor,
I love the liberal democrat reaction to a song. They don’t say much about rap verbiage about like, “busting a cap” on someone. Or cussing out and spitting on cops. Or about raping girls and dragging them. No racism there. … But sing a song about not burning down a small town or car jacking people. But the singer and the writers of the song are presumed white and racist
The song doesn’t offer any threat, only a lack of tolerance to crime, while not promoting or condoning vigilantism. I don’t care what Whoopi and the View thinks.
Plato said,”The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.” (That statement needs to be modified to include women as well.) Nancy, Hillary, Maxine, Liz, Debbie, AOC ect.
Well Presented Joe Biden is being scrutinized for his dubious activities and pretense of leadership. Adam Schiff, Gerry Nadler, Mayorkas, Wray, Schumer, all have not skeletons in their closets but it’s more like boneyards where they have hidden the bodies of truth, fairness and responsibility. The Directors of the F.B.I., the D.O.J. , Homeland Security, Secretary of Energy, Secretary of Transportation, and others should also be included.
After reading in the paper about the 4th District Court Of Appeals out of Richmond sticking there nose in West Virginia business, they should be included as well. Wheather a car jacking or a pipeline in contradiction to their agenda, they are bullies catering to their “agenda.”
Let’s face it, when the Virginia State legislators passed gun laws outlawing every firearm with their clever wording and the 4th District Court remained silent, that should have everyone telling the 4th to go pound sand.
My hat is off the Sheriff in Culpeper for telling the Virginia Legislators he would not enforce their unconstitutional new gun laws.
“Have we reached the ultimate stage of absurdity where some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, while other people are not held responsible for what they themselves are doing today.” — Thomas Sowell –
Sounds rather Presidential doesn’t it? Enept leadership in the White House, drugs in the White House, untrue statements from the White House. How about a 50 year old son who has untold amounts of money staying at the White House on our dime?
While cruising the internet I ran across a few tidbits of information.
First, Lia Thomas, cheating women’s swimming team “sin sation” is a pro ANTIFA supporter. But that doesn’t surprise me. I mean , he claims to be female with physique of a man, he uses the women’s locker room exposing his anatomy for all to see. He’ll do anything to get attention. And the news just plays his tune.
Is his support for ANTIFA genuine or just something to keep his name current?
I mean, ANTIFA wears hoodies, hide their faces, concealing their identities. And “Lia” evidentially doesn’t.
These two quotes could be bases for the thought processes that developed the song in question. Perhaps these two quotes could anger the libs and dems as well. But I didn’t write them, I only quoted, as a reminded, by some wiser than me individuals.
With this information, is Plato correct?
Is Thomas Sowell correct?
One of the most disheartening issues is that everyone of the above mentioned has taken the same oath, “ to defend the constitution against all enemies both foreign and domestic.” Yet none of these “dignitaries” can give a simple yes or no answer to any question posed by a congressional committee members.
Right and wrong are definite. Black and white turns gray leaving too much room to be defined.
We need a simpler class of representatives to govern this country. Most of the leaders in Congress and Senate studied law. They have been trained to twist things said and written to fit their narrative.
I’m going to say something that needs said. I just read in the paper about the Mountain Valley Pipeline.
My hat is off to Senator Shelly Moore- Capito for the report on the Mountain Valley Pipeline. Last week after reading her report I was reluctant to believe the 4th Circuit Court Of Appeals would be over ruled. However the diligence of our leaders Pursuant to getting the 4th Circuit Court Of Appeals stay over ruled and Senators and Congress members who signed on to the amicus brief to the Supreme Court, I thank you.
Nicely done.
When the power comes back on I’ll look up the word “amicus”. I’ve never heard that particular word before. (69 years old and still learning).
Speaking of learning, my 15 year old grandson visited for several weeks this summer.
My compliments to all the people he encountered. He thinks the people are very nice.
He is a polite young lad who lives in an area outside Raleigh North Carolina.
He thinks it’s too “big city”. He likes the quite lifestyle, polite people, and admires the craftsmanship of the population He also calls me “the fun grandpa”.
I was able to spend a great deal of time showing him things mechanical that are not taught in school. Unfortunately he lives in a “disposable society” meaning the lawn mower blade gets dull throw it away and buy another. I explained I resharpen and balance my blades.
He wants to learn. He says he doesn’t want to go to college. I explained we as a society we need craftsman to pick where us old timers leave off. He enjoyed helping build the porches on the new house. And he worked with two of the smartest men I know while working on the porch. (Don’t tell my brother I said that).
We had some time to bond as we had not before. Now he’s gone home for school and I miss my buddy.
If I were in school come September and was asked, “how was you summer?” I would spend hours explaining what marvelous summer it’s been.
I believe it’s time to stop for now and leave room for more news.
As always, I thank our military for their diligence.
Our various police departments for safety.
Our first responders for their readiness.
And our medical professionals who keep us heathy.
I admire and respect you all.
