Viola Fern Glaspell, 82 of Salem departed this life on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. She was born on June 19, 1937 in Doddridge County a daughter of the late Willis Floyd Glaspell and Zelma Gladys Chipps Glaspell Underwood.
Surviving are two daughters, Stacia Glaspell, Mayodan, NC, Charlania Tarzia, FL, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, four sisters, Virginia McHenry, Salem, Juanita Burger, Peoria, IL, Deborah Parsons, Greenwood, Gladys Wysocki, Lafferty, OH two brothers, Irvin Floyd Glaspell, Salem, Keith Underwood, Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Alexander Hornbeck, two sisters, Billie Jean Glaspell and Charlotte McClung.
Viola graduated from Doddridge County High School where she was a Majorette. She retired from Nashua Photo Company, Parkersburg as a Photo Developer, and was Methodist. Viola was a loving mother, grandmother and sister and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
