   Meeting called to order at 5:00 PM

1. Opening Items — A. — Call To Order — The meeting was called to order by President Burnside at 5:00 p.m. B. Invocation  

The Invocation was led by Laura Cottrill. — C. — Pledge of Allegiance–

3. — Delegations 4, Reports– A. Superintendent’s Update — Superintendent Cheeseman updated the Board on the successful school reentry/COVID status. — B. — Adjourn to Executive Session — Motion to adjourn to Executive Session at 5: 16 p.m. Motion by Chad Evans, second by Laura Cottrill. — Final Resolution: Motion Carried. — Aye: Chad Evans, Denver Burnside, Laura Cottrill, Angie Curran, Justin Holtz Motion to return to Regular Session at 5:24 p.m. — Motion by Chad Evans, second by Angie Curran. Final Resolution: Motion Carried.

Aye: Chad Evans, Denver Burnside, Laura Cottrill, Angie Curran, Justin Holtz — Superintendent Cheeseman continued his update with an Early Learning Center status update and plans for a robust 8 week summer learning program and expanded after school tutoring program.

New Business – A. — COVID Leave Extension — Recommend a motion to continue the FFCRA (Families First Coronavirus Response Act) leave provisions that were not extended by the federal government.  This  means  the  Doddridge  County Board  of  Education  will make available up to 8 hours of COVID leave for all full time employees. Beginning retroactively to January 1, 2021, each full time employee will be able, with proper approval, use up to 80 hours of leave for COVID related absences. — Motion by Justin Holtz, second by Angie Curran. Final Resolution: Motion Carried — Aye: Chad Evans, Denver Burnside, Laura Cottrill, Angie Curran, Justin Holtz — B. — Student Broadband Initiative — (Action postponed until next meeting February 4, 2021.)

Personnel — A. — Personnel Addendum — Motion to approve the personnel addendum: — Leave of Absence request for Laura Dye, Substitute Secretary; — Retirement of Sherry Smith, Kindergarten Aide – DCES, Janice Randolph, Kindergarten Aide – DCES; — Permission to Post Classroom Teacher – DCES, — College and Career Ready Coordinator, After School Tutors – All Schools. — Motion by Angie Curran, second by Justin Holtz.
