Commerce goes to the WV Capitol
On Monday, February 5th, 2024 the Doddridge County Chamber of Commerce attended Small Town Development Day at the WV State Capitol. The event was sponsored by The Hub – West Virginia Community Development Hub. It was a day set up to visit lawmakers, attend meetings, networking and learn of funding opportunities.
The Doddridge County Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome the Ritchie Regional Health Center as our newest Silver Chamber Member.

2024 Beekeeping Class is
A huge success
This year’s Mountaineer Beekeepers Association’s beginner beekeeping class in West Union, Doddridge County, WV is a huge success. The first class of four, held on February 2, 2024, had 43 students from at least four different WV counties in attendance.
A huge thank you to the Doddridge County Chamber Of Commerce for sponsoring the class, to the WVU Doddridge County Extension Service for providing critical logistical support, and to the Doddridge County Library for allowing the use their facilities. It’s a pleasure working with such great partners to bring the amazing world of beekeeping to more people in our region of the state.
A special thank you as well to the club members who came out to support the class, including the Bearsville Bees-Parkersburg for demonstrating their various products.
