On Friday, November 17th, 2023, the Pleasant Baptist Church, located in Centerpoint, Doddridge County, burnt down, after 911 received a call that a camper was on fire.
Crews reported to scene, where they found the camper fire had spread to the Chruch, with both being engulfed in flames.
Due to the lack of water, neither the Church or the camper could be saved. There were no injuries reported.
Responding to the call were: Division of Forestry, McClellan VFD, Salem VFD, Shirley VFD, Middlebourne VFD, West Union VFD, DC OEMS and DCAA.
