The D.C. ATV Club will be selling raffle ticket from August 14, 2023, until November 2, 2023, for a whole processed Hog. All the proceeds to towards Medical Expenses for Michelle James.
At the age of 16 Michelle James was diagnosed with Philadelphia Positive Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (PH=/ALL). She was in Remission in August. 2017, she still had to continue with 2 years’ worth of treatments. On 6.13.19, Michelle got to ring the bell signify her last chemo treatment.
12/2022, her doctor did some extra blood work to see about taking her off of that medication This lab brought back some results that doctors couldn’t figure out right away. She had been feeling fine, and with other results, cancer didn’t seem to be a concern. After having to get a bone marrow biopsy done, on 2/6/23 the doctor called her with the news that she was being diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). She still has to have trips to Morgantown for routine doctor appointment and labs drawn to monito her. Michelle is now 22 and us finished up nursing school as FSU in July 2023.
