Linna Belle Utter

Linna Belle Utter, 84, of Salem, WV, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 14, 2023. Linna Belle passed away peacefully at UHC with her loving family by her side.

 Linna was preceded in death by her parents, Burley Ray and Pansy Belle Childers of Big Flint. She was also preceded in death by her husband Bryan of 50+ years and two brothers, Jerry and Ferrell Childers also of Big Flint.

 Linna is survived by her daughters, Tina Maxwell of Clarksburg; Michelle Spence and Son in Law Chris Blake of Salem; and her son, John Utter and Daughter in Law Marilyn of Chandler, Arizona. She is also survived by three sisters, Nina Eddy and her husband Wayne, of Salem, Charlotte Samples, Salem, and Louella Davis, also of Salem.

 Linna has four grandchildren, Jessica Murray of Lost Creek, Jamie Maxwell and his significant other Carisa Confere of Clarksburg, Megan Veydt and her husband Adam of Carnegie, Pennsylvania, and Marissa Utter of Clarksburg.  She also has four great-grandchildren, Luke Davis and his partner, Hannah Arbogast, Caden Davis (currently stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO),  Jacob Jenkins, all of Lost Creek, WV, and Chase Maxwell who resides in Buckhannon, WV. She also has one great great-grandson, Spencer James Davis, of Lost Creek.  Linna is also survived by many nieces and nephews but two whom were very close, Jackie Devericks of Bridgeport and Teresa Davis of Arlington, Virginia

 Linna was a devout Christian and long-time member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Salem. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, reading her bible, gospel music and being a mother and grandmother. Linna retired from Tiffany Glass, where she had worked for 30+ years.

 She will be sorely missed but her family takes comfort that she is no longer suffering, and she was able to go home to be with her loved ones in Heaven.  Gone, but not forgotten. A wife, a mother, a grandma too, this is the legacy we have from you.

 Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W, Main St. Salem on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Marino presiding. Interment will follow in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service.
