TANK INSTALLATION”

TRIPLE H ENTERPRISES PROJECT NUMBER: 33-1010

Sealed bid for “Agricultural Center-Sand-Silt, Oil Interceptor, and Septic Tank Installation” will be received by the Doddridge County Board of Education at their office, located at 268 Bulldog Drive, West Union, WV, until 1:00 p.m., EST on April 25, 2023, for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Contract Documents prepared by Triple H Enterprises.

Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of the Contract Documents will be publiclyopened and read aloud.

The Work to be Bid is generally described as follows:

ITEM NO. 1 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALSREQUIRED TO CUT AND REMOVE THE EXISTING CONCRETE SLAB FLOOR IN THE REAR STORAGE AREA TO INSTALL THE NEW 6” PVC DRAINPIPE FROM THE BUILDINGS

TRENCH DRAINS. DISPOSE OF ALL WASTE MATERIALS PROPERLY.

ITEM NO. 2 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO EXCAVATE THE SOILS IN THE PROPOSED DITCH ALIGNMENT AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. DISPOSE OF ALL WASTE MATERIALS PROPERLY.

ITEM NO. 3 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO EXCAVATE AND INSTALL A NEW PRECAST 1000-GALLON SAND-SILT TRAP AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. THE PRECAST TANK WILL BE DESIGNED FOR H-20 STANDARD TRUCK LOADING. THE TANK SHALL BE BEDDED ON A MINIMUM OF 6” OF SAND. FILL THE TANK ½ FULL WITH CLEAN WATER AND THEN THE TANK SHALL BE CAREFULLY BACKFILLED WITH EXCAVATED SOIL IN A MAXIMUM OF 6” LIFTS. AS THE

TANK IS BACKFILLED THE DRAINPIPE SHALL BE INSTALLED AS THE FILL APPROACHES THE INLET/OUTLETS. CONCRETE RISERS WITH STEEL LIDS SHALL BE INSTALLED TO THE EXISTING SURFACE AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. DISPOSE OF EXTRA SOILS

ITEM NO. 4 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LA

BOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO EXCAVATE AND INSTALL A NEW PRECAST 1000-GALLON OIL INTERCEPTOR AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. THE PRECAST TANK WILL BE DESIGNED FOR H-20 STANDARD TRUCK LOADING. THE TANK SHALL BE BEDDED ON A MINIMUM OF 6” OF SAND. FILL THE TANK ½ FULL OF CLEAN WATER AND THEN THE TANK SHALL BE CAREFULLY BACKFILLED WITH EXCAVATED SOIL IN A MAXIMUM OF 6” LIFTS. AS

THE TANK IS BACKFILLED THE DRAINPIPE SHALL BE INSTALLED AS THE FILL APPROACHES THE INLET/OUTLETS. CONCRETE RISERS WITH STEEL LIDS SHALL BE INSTALLED TO THE EXISTING SURFACE AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. INSTALL THE VENT PIPE AND INSPECTION PORT AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. DISPOSE OF EXTRA SOILS PROPERLY.

ITEM NO. 5 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO EXCAVATE AND INSTALL A NEW PRECAST 1500-GALLON TWO COMPARTMENT SEPTIC TANK. AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. THE PRECAST TANK WILL BE DESIGNED FOR H-20 STANDARD TRUCK LOADING. THE TANK SHALL BE BEDDED ON A MINIMUM OF 6” OF SAND. FILL THE TANK ¾ FULL OF CLEAN WATER AND THEN THE TANK SHALL BE CAREFULLY BACKFILLED WITH EXCAVATED SOIL IN A MAXIMUM OF

6” LIFTS. AS THE TANK IS BACKFILLED THE DRAINPIPE SHALL BE INSTALLED AS THE FILL APPROACHES THE INLET/OUTLETS. CONCRETE RISERS WITH STEEL LIDS SHALL BE INSTALLED TO THE EXISTING SURFACE AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. DISPOSE OF

EXTRA SOILS PROPERLY.

ITEM NO. 6 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO INSTALL NEW 6” PVC SDR35 SEWER PIPE AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. BACKFILL THE DITCH WITH A MINIMUM OF 4” OF SAND UNDER THE PIPE TO 12” OF

SAND ABOVE THE PIPE. FILL THE REMAINDER OF THE DITCH WITH AGGREGATE STONE (TYPE 57’S), TAMP ALL BACKFILL IN MAXIMUM 6” LIFTS TO THE EXISTING SURFACE.

ITEM NO. 7 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO INSTALL NEW 4” THICK CONCRETE PADS OVER THE NEW TANKS AND CLEANOUT AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. SLOPE THE CONCRETE PADS TO THE LIDS OF EACH TANK. THIS ITEM IS ALSO TO INCLUDE THE INSTALLATION OF NEW CONCRETE SLABS TO REPLACE THE CONCRETE REMOVED FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW DRAIN PIPE FROM THE TRENCH DRAINS IN THE AG CENTER. MATCH THE THICKNESS OF THE EXISTING CONCRETE SLABS IN THE REAR STORAGE AREA.

ITEM NO. 8 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO GRADE AND SMOOTH THE EXISTING AGGREGATE DRIVE AND PARKING AREAS TO DRAIN SURFACE WATER AWAY FROM THE NEW TANKS AND BUILDING

FOUNDATION. THIS MAY REQUIRE THE ADDITION OF GOOD CLEAN AGGREGATE TO MEET THE EXISTING GRADE AROUND THE BUILDING.

The work will be substantially completed within ninety (90) days after the date of the Notice to Proceed and completed and ready for final payment within 30 days after the date of Substantial Completion. Liquidated damages shall be $500.00 per calendar day.

Envelope No. 2 labeled “Bid Proposal” shall also be placed inside of Envelope #1.

Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for

compliance as outlined below. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal”, will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal” will not be opened, and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder.

• A bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for opening of Bids.

• Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the Doddridge County Board of Education, for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base Bid.

• Bidders must hold a current West Virginia general contractor’s license on the date of the Bid Opening.

• Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids will be returned unopened to the bidders.

Doddridge County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all Bids.

“AGRICULTURAL CENTER-ARENA AREA UPGRADE”

TRIPLE H ENTERPRISES PROJECT NUMBER: 33-1011

Sealed bid for “Agricultural Center-Arena Area Upgrade” will be received by the Doddridge County Board of Education at their office, located at 268 Bulldog Drive, West Union, WV, until 1:00 p.m., EST on April 25, 2023, for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set

forth in the Contract Documents prepared by Triple H Enterprises. Immediately following the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids, all proposals which have been submitted in accordance with the conditions of the Contract Documents will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Work to be Bid is generally described as follows:

ITEM NO. 1 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO CLEAN AND REMOVE ALL DEBRIS FROM THE ARENA AREA. DISPOSE OF ALL WASTE MATERIALS PROPERLY.

ITEM NO. 2 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO DETACH THE EXISTING BLEACHERS FROM THE WALL AND MOVE FORWARD ONTO THE CONCRETE FLOOR TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO THE EASTERN SIDEWALL. DISPOSE OF ALL WASTE MATERIALS PROPERLY.

ITEM NO. 3 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO POWER WASH THE CEILING IN THE ARENA AREA. THIS INCLUDES THE STEEL FRAMES, ROOF PURLINS, MISC. STEEL STRUCTURES, ETC. AND THE EXISTING ROOF INSULATION. TAKE CARE NOT TO DAMAGE THE EXISTING INSULATION. REPAIR ANY DAMAGED AREAS OF THE EXITING INSULATION WITH THE APPROPRIATE MATERIALS AS PER THE MANUFACTURERS REOMMENDATION.

ITEM NO. 4 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO REMOVE THE EXISTING SIDEWALL INSULATION ON THE EASTERN AND WESTERN SIDEWALLS. IT ALSO INCLUDES THE POWER WASHING OF THE STEEL FRAMES, WALL GIRTS, AND MISC. STEEL STRUCTURES, ETC. DISPOSE OF ANY WASTE MATERIALS PROPERLY.

ITEM NO. 5 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LA

BOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO POWER WASH THE STEEL RAILINGS, ALL CONCRETE WALKWAYS, STEPS, RAMPS, ARENA WALLS, ETC.

ITEM NO. 6 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO POWER WASH THE BLEACHERS.

ITEM NO. 7 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO REMOVE ALL UNNECESSARY FIXTURES, ELECTRICAL FIXTURES, CONDUIT, PLUMBING, AND ATTACHMENTS, ETC. REPAIR OR PATCH THE WALLS, CEILING, OR FLOORS AS REQUIRED WHEN ITEMS ARE REMOVED. DISPOSE OF ALL WASTE MATERIALS PROPERLY.

ITEM NO. 8 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO REMOVE ALL DOOR FRAMES, DOOR SLABS, HARDWARE, ETC. AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. CLEAN AND REMOVE ANY UNNECESSARY FASTERS, ATTACHMENTS, ETC., FROM THE ROUGH OPENINGS. DISPOSE OF ALL WASTE MATERIALS PROPERLY.

ITEM NO. 9 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO INSTALL NEW FRAMING FOR THE PROPOSED VENTILATION FANS AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS.

ITEM NO. 10 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO INSTALL NEW SPRAY FOAM INSULATION IN THE EXTERIOR EASTERN AND WESTERN WALLS WITH FIRE RETARDANT.

ITEM NO. 11 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO PAINT THE STEEL BUILDING FRAMES AND MISC. STEEL STRUCTURES ON THE EASTERN AND WESTERN WALLS AS SHOWN ON THE PAINTING

SCHEME DRAWINGS.

ITEM NO. 12 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO PAINT THE STEEL BUILDING FRAMES, ROOF PURLINS, AND MISC. STEEL STRUCTURES ON THE CEILING AS SHOWN ON THE PAINTING SCHEME

DRAWINGS.

ITEM NO. 13 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO PAINT THE CONCRETE MASONRY, STEEL SIDING, AND MISC. STEEL STRUCTURES ON THE NORTHERN AND SOUTHERN WALLS AS SHOWN ON THE PAINTING SCHEME DRAWINGS.

ITEM NO. 14 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO INSTALL NEW 29 GA. METAL SIDING ON THE EASTERN AND WESTERN BUILDING SIDEWALLS, FULL HEIGHT, AS SHOWN ON THE PAINTING

SCHEME DRAWINGS.

ITEM NO. 15 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO PAINT THE STEEL RAILING AROUND THE INTERIOR OF THE ARENA AREA AS SHOWN ON THE PAINTING SCHEME DRAWINGS.

ITEM NO. 16 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE 

LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO PAINT THE CONCRETE WALKWAYS, STEPS, RAMPS, AND WALLS IN THE ARENA AREA AS SHOWN ON THE PAINTING SCHEME DRAWINGS.

ITEM NO. 17 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO INSPECT THE EXISTING BLEACHERS AND REPAIR ANY DAMAGES, MISSING FASTENERS, AND MISSING PARTS. LUBRICATE THE ROLLERS AND

TRACKS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER. RE-STAIN AND SEAL THE BOTTOM BOARD. REPLACE THE STAIR RISERS. RE-ATTACH THE BLEACHERS TO THE WALL. 

ITEM NO. 18 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO INSTALL THE NEW DOORS AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS. INSTALL THE NEW DOORS PER THE MANUFACTURER’S RECOMMENDATIONS.

ITEM NO. 19 – THIS ITEM WILL INCLUDE ALL THE LABOR, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS REQUIRED TO CLEAN, GRADE, AND SHAPE THE EXISTING SOILS IN THE ARENA. REMOVE ANY UNNECESSARY OR DIRTY SOILS AS DIRECTED BY THE ENGINEER. DISPOSE OF ALL WASTE MATERIALS PROPERLY.

The work will be substantially completed within one hundred twenty (120) days after the date of the Notice to Proceed and completed and ready for final payment within 30 days after the date of Substantial Completion. Liquidated damages shall be $500.00 per calendar day.

Complete sets of Bidding Documents may be obtained from the office of Triple H Enterprises, 9

James Street, West Union, WV 26456, for the following costs:

• Bidding Documents issued as hard copy drawings and hard copy specifications are available for $50.00 per set.

• Electronic sets of Bidding Documents may be obtained from Triple H Enterprises for free upon request.

The amounts paid are not subject to a refund.

A two-envelope system will be used.

Envelope No. 1 must have the following information presented on the front:

Name and address of Bidder

Bid on “Doddridge County Schools Agricultural Center” – Arena Area Upgrade

Received by Doddridge County Board of Education

Envelope No. 2 labeled “Bid Proposal” shall also be placed inside of Envelope #1.

Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for

compliance as outlined below. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid

Proposal”, will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be

contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal” will not be opened,

and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder.

• A bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for opening of Bids.

• Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond payable to the Doddridge

County Board of Education, for an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base Bid.

• Bidders must hold a current West Virginia general contractor’s license on the date of the Bid Opening.

• Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of Bids will be returned unopened to the bidders.

Doddridge County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all Bids.

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held at the project site located at the “Doddridge County Schools Agricultural Center” near Greenbrier Road, Salem, WV on April 6, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., EST.
