Memorial Day

In Honor of Those Who Gave All

On May 30, 2022, at 10:00 AM, on the Doddridge County Courthouse Lawn Veterans and citizens came together in rememberance and to honor those who gave their all spanning every militaty conflict from the 1700’s  to present. 

Perry Ferguson welcomes the attendeed followed by the Invocation led by Al Milliorns and the Pledge led by Donivan Cumpston.

Heddy Lipscomb sang the National Anthem and God Bless America. 

Ezra Richards, dresses as Uncle Sam gave a reading on the Flag and how respect is given.

A moment of  silence was held followed a Saulte with a standing oveation for the local surviving WW II Veterans , Cline Stansberry, Leo Williams and James Hall. After their introduction, Bill Stewart recognized the part they played through the conflicts. 

James Messinger spoke to Freedom not being Free followed by the Firing Squad Taps and Benediction.
