Charles Keith Hawkins
Charles Keith Hawkins, 84, of Smithburg, WV passed away April 7, 2022 at his residence.
He was born October 4, 1937 in Bristol, WV a son of the late Bernard and Ruby Rose Rowe Hawkins. 
He was a retired Driver for the Senior Citizen Center in West Union. He was a Jack of all trades, working as a mechanic for Volkswagen and was the head of maintenance at a Florida Hospital. Charles was a guitarist in several Country andGospelgroups. He attended and played music at the Gospel Barn and the Message of Freedom Church at Grafton.
Charles is survived by his wife of 65 years, Irene Nutter Hawkins; three children, Gary Hawkins (Linda) of Salem, WV, Patricia “Sis” Martin (Allan) of Smithburg, WV and Larry Hawkins (Becky) of Pennsboro, WV; a brother Larry F. Hawkins of Fairview, WV; five grandchildren, Gary C. Hawkins, Jr., Craig Martin, Heather Moore (Robert), Christopher Hawkins and Dakota Hawkins; step grandson, David Rowe and three great-grandchildren, Davy Hawkins, Keilan and Adaira Moore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 56 Front St. West Union on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 1p.m. with Pastor Mike Stottlemeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Masonic Memorial Park in West Union. The familywill receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 11, 2022 from 4-8 p.m.

Harvey Blaine Hughes, 81 of Salem passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 at his residence with family by his side.  

He was born April 26, 1940 in Salem, son of the late Charles and Eva Mide Stout Burnside Hughes. 

Harvey served his country and retired with over twenty years serving in the United States Coast Guard and Army during the Vietnam War.  He retired from Consolidate Natural Gas now Dominion Energy. Harvey enjoyed guns, cars, watching westerns on TV, talking on the phone and loved time with family especially the grandchildren.  

He is survived by his wife Judith “Judy” E Swisher Hughes whom he married on April 30, 1970; daughters, Eva Paul and husband Shannon, Kingsland, GA, Barbara Anderson and husband David, Hillsboro, WV, Sharon Mullenax and husband Brian, Fairmont, and Jamie Shaw, Salem; grandchildren, Elijah and Emily, Jayden, Liam Blaine, Alec and Mikala,Sarah and Andrew, Brandi and Shane, Lindsey and Seth, Amanda, Ashley and Devin, Robert, Timothy, Kristin and Robert, Erica and Andrew, Carissa and Tyler; great grandchildren, Landon, Kayko, Simon, Aiden, Mason, Rylan, Todd, Everly, Marian, Josh, Lynly, Juniper, Victor  one sister, Oma Ruth McLane of Eleanor, WV; his dog Emma; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.  His wishes for cremation will be honored.  Harold (Hal) Zane Parker,

Harold (Hal) Zane Parker, Jr. 61, of Parkersburg, WV departed this life on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV following a lengthy battle against Covid.  

Harold was born July 21, 1960 in Parkersburg, WV a son of JoAnn Parker (Hickman) of West Union, WV and the late Harold “Hal” Parker of Parkersburg, WV.  

  The son of a career serviceman, in his youth he traveled with his family from various locations in the United States inspiring his desire to travel and experience the world.  Following graduation from Pennsboro High School, he went on to serve in the United States Navy where he proudly earned his Shellback designation.  He completed his Degree in Accounting and worked at Alpharma for many years then changing careers he became a Union Painter and a Coating Inspector.  He was a proud member of Parkersburg Local 1144 Painters Union. 

 Hal was a talented woodworker, self-taught technophobe, a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed cooking, reading, hanging out with family and friends, riding his bicycle for miles and road tripping with his mother researching family genealogy.  

       He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Z. Parker and his wife and soulmate, Tamara Shenkivich Parker.  Besides his Mother (JoAnn Parker), he is survived by his stepson Stas Ivash of Chicago, IL and sisters Cynthia Dotson (Paul) of West Union, WV, Christina Girod (Carl) of Parkersburg, WV and Crystal Parker of West Union, WV along with many nieces and nephews that loved their Uncle ‘Jr’.  His bravery, perseverance and courage in the face of life’s challenges inspired him and others to rekindle their Faith and to experience what it means to be humble and kind.

  A graveside service will begin at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Mt. Harmony Masonic Cemetery in Pennsboro, WV with Pastor Denver Burnside officiating.  McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mary Ann Lundell

Mary Ann Lundell, 81 of Clarksburg passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at United Hospital Center with family by her side. She was born April 5, 1941 in Clarksburg, daughter of the late John and Adelene Cottrill and was raised by her uncle and aunt, Wayne Basil and Bonnie Elizabeth Carson Cottrill whom she considered to be her parents.

Mary graduated from Washington Irving High School, Class of 1958. She received her associate degree in 1995 and her bachelor’s degree in 1997 from Fairmont State College, graduating Summa Cum Laude and received the award for Outstanding Senior in Business and Economics. She worked as an accountant for JC Hart Foundry, Bridgeport Bank, Buckhannon Auto Mall and Kincheloe Motors. Mary was also an owner and broker of R&L Real Estate. She was a very patriotic, hardworking woman that instilled these values in her children and grandchildren. Mary was a member of Duff Street United Methodist Church. She enjoyed collecting dolls and antiques. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, and going to all the grandchildren’s activities. She was an animal lover and always took excellent care of her four-legged companions, currently Buster.   

Mary is survived by three children, Mark Wayne Lundell Sr. and wife Sarah, Kimberly Ann George and husband Mark, and Elizabeth May Collett all of Clarksburg; seven grandchildren, Justin Lundell, Shannon Hartnett and husband Robert, Chelsey Epperly and husband Dylan, Matthew George, Ashley George, Ryan Collett and Olivia Collett; three great grandchildren, Makylie, Isabella, and Ethan; several nieces and nephews..

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her son, Donald Lee Lundell Jr.;  two grandchildren, Crystal Lundell and Mark Wayne Lundell Jr.

Later in life, Mary was reunited with her siblings and developed a special bond with her brother John Cottrill and other siblings were, Delores Hucks, Loriane “Tiny” Gilmore, Stanley Cottrill, and Clara Crouch.

Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home 124 Olen Thomas Drive, Clarksburg, on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 3-7PM and Saturday, April 9, 2022 8:30 AM until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 AM with Pastor Brian Seders officiating. Everett Eugene Davis

Everett Eugene Davis, 86 of Long Run Salem passed away at his residence on April 7, 2022, that he shared with his son and main caregiver, Kenny Eugene Davis. He was the son of the late Orlando and Beulah (Matheny) Davis and was born on Buffalo Calf.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn Sue (Barker) Davis whom he married on October 20, 1956. He was also preceded in death by his children Jody Davis, Johnny Davis, Joey Davis, and Kevin Davis; son -in- law Ray Mayle, in-laws Homer and Opal Irene (Strother) Barker; grandson Jason Adams and Robbie Lloyd. Brothers; Wilbur Davis, Junior Davis, Taylor Davis, Raymond Davis; Sisters Helen Lattea, Mary Freeman, Betty Gilbert, Madeline Freeman, Kathleen Davis.

Surviving are children Brenda (the late Ray) Mayle, Linda (Richard) Crouser, Sandra (Dave) Adams, Peggy (Kenneth) Lloyd. Rodney (Missy) Davis, Terry Davis, Pam (Billy) Hitt; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren. One sister Gay Ware. Lifelong friend Arnold Schmidt.

Mr. Davis worked for Miller’s Salvage Yard for many years before retiring. He was an avid fisherman, and his favorite day were spent at the water’s edge.

Per his wishes, Mr. Davis will not e having any formal services. The family wishes to extend thanks to WVU UHC Hospice and hospice nurses Lauren and Heather.
