Capito Announces Piercy as

Economic Development Director

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) today announced that Jennifer Piercy, who currently serves as the Executive Director of the County Commissioner’s Association of West Virginia, will join her staff as Director of Economic Development beginning April 6.

 “Jennifer has a deep knowledge of local government and brings a wide range of economic development experience to her new role. With our state having a number of economic development projects already underway, Jennifer’s experience will be critical as we work to support these projects and attract new ones to the state. She is a proud West Virginian who is committed to creating a better future for our state and all those who call West Virginia home, and I am thrilled to have her join the team,” Senator Capito said.

 Jennifer Piercy, a native of Elkview, West Virginia, currently serves as the Executive Director of the County Commissioner’s Association of West Virginia (CCAWV) and brings a wide range of experience to the senator’s office. Prior to this role, Piercy served as the Communications Director for CCAWV, and was formerly the Grants Management Specialist for the West Virginia Division of Tourism and also served as the Development Director for the Tri-County YMCA prior to that. Piercy earned her bachelor’s and two master’s degrees from Marshall University.
