On Saturday, January 15th, Soffi Bee, Doddridge County’s Ephraim Bee Festival’s “Queen Bee” traveled to Charleston to participate in the WV Association of Fairs and Festival Queen’s Pageant.
Soffi is the daughter of Laurel Jones and Chazz Jones Step-Father, the Grand daughter of Lowell and Sharon Bee and Jamie Moran and Don Cumpston, Brenda and Sammy Moran; and the Great Grand-daughter of Dave and Janet Kelly.
Soffi, along with @77 other contestants competed in a Personal Interview, Event Promotion, Evening Gown Competition and an on-stage Interview.
Completed the day of the competition, her gown was made by her Great-Aunt Cindy and cousin Daphne Corso, who, along with other family, friends and sponsors, were in attendance to cheer her on.
With what was called “stiff competition”, Soffi was very surprised to be a part of the 15 top “Queens” to be chosen and went on to place 1st Runner -Up in the overall competition.
