Welcome Back to the 2021 Doddridge County Fair: Where Dreams Come True

Mark your calendars! 

After a disappointing 2020, when the Doddridge County Fair was regretfully canceled due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the 2021 Doddridge County Fair will begin at 5:30PM on Tuesday, August 17th with the Opening Ceremonies, and will run through midnight, August 21st, 2021. 

A $10 Admission gate charge per night covers all activities, or one can purchase a Non-Riding Season Pass for $25 or a Riding Season Pass for $35. Season passes are available at the following locations: Shell Station, Fairview Diner, Michel’s Pharmacy, Doddridge County Extension Office, Moonies Diner, Brad Wilt State Farm Insurance, Yabba Dabba Doo’s, and Tease Me Hair Salon.

Preparations taking place prior to the Opening of the DC Fair include:

The 2021 Doddridge County FFA & 4-H Livestock Show will be held on July 27 at 5:00 PM, with the Livestock Showmanship Show being held at 5:00 PM on July 28. The Livestock Buyer’s Dinner (Upstairs Lodge)  will be held on  July 29th  at 5:30 PM followed by the Livestock Sale at 7:00 PM. All livestock activities will be held at the Barn unless otherwise noted.

On Monday, Aug. 16, 2021 the fairground opens at 8:00 AM for vendor set-up (the Midway will not be open) and will be open from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM for Exhibits and Amateur Photography. 

On Tuesday morning 8:00 AM, Exhibits and Amateur Photography registration continues to noon. 

On Tuesday evening, August 17th, the Grand Opening will be held at 5:30 PM, and the Midway will open at 6:00 PM. On stage will be Lane Dancers at 6:00 PM, Local Talent at 6:30 PM, and the Jr. Miss and Queens Pageant at 7:00 PM. Mini Wedge and Kart registration is at 6:00 PM and the Track Events will begin at 7:00 PM. 

Wednesday evening will bring a new event to the Doddridge County Fair, the Rodeo, beginning at 6:00 PM. At 5:30 PM the Little Miss and Preteen Pageant will be held on the main stage. The Midway will open at 6:00 PM, with Blue Steel performing at 8:00 PM.

Thursday evening will open with Drag Race registration at 5:30 PM. The Midway will open at 6:00 PM. ATV/Motorcycle Drag Racing will begin at 6:30 PM, and at 7:00 PM is the Gospel Variety Night.

On Friday night, registration for Motocross Races and Faxx Trac Promotions will begin at 5:30 PM, and racing will begin at the track at 6:30 PM. The stage performances include Cody Eagle at 7:30 PM and John King at 9:00 PM. From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM the Hickory Ridge School will be open for tours.

The Fair will open 9:00 AM Saturday morning with the Exhibit Hall open. Registration for the car show will be open from 10 AM until noon.

Registration for the Figure 8 Demolition Derby will begin at noon. Meet and Greet and the Bounce Houses will be ongoing at the Barn, and the Hickory Ridge School will be open for tours until 8:00 PM.

The Midway will open at noon and close at 5 PM, then will reopen at 6:00 PM until 11:00 PM.

Stage Performances will be held on Saturday beginning at 5:30 PM with an Elvis Impersonator; 7 Bridges, an Eagles tribute band, at 7:30 PM; and Adam Doleac at 9:00 PM. 

The Figure 8 Demolition Derby will begin at the track at 3:00 PM, followed by Powerwheels racing at 7:00 PM. The next Demolition Derby will begin at 7:30 PM (registration at 5:30 PM).

The exhibit hall will be open Tuesday through Friday 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 8:45 PM.

Onsite shuttle service from parking to the fairground will be provided by the DC Lions Club, with the DC Schools providing shuttle buses every 15 minutes from the DC Middle School Parking lot on Friday and Saturday.

On Sunday, exhibits can be picked up between noon and 2:00 PM. Irish Road Bowling will begin at 1:00 PM.
