Masked Reads at the Doddridge County Public Library
Do you have trouble recognizing people under these masks? How about books? Do you like surprises? Do you like to read? Call us at the library at (304) 873-1941 or stop in and let us know what genre(s) of books you enjoy reading, and we will choose three (mystery) masked books for you. Many people find new authors this way. We figure, we might as well have a little fun, while socially distancing and tip-toeing through COVID. This program will start on January 18, 2021 and run until February 27th, 2021. Let’s have some fun!
Doll Club — 2020 Virtual Plan

Our Doll Club craft bags for the month of January will be ready for pick up beginning Monday, January 4th for our fourth Virtual Doll Club! We think a great New Year’s resolution is to get more sleep. Therefore, participants will be making super cute unicorn sleep masks this month! We will be posting virtual instructions to make the sleep masks to our Facebook page on Friday, January 15th. Friday, January 29th is the deadline to complete the craft and send us a photo via Facebook Messenger at which point we will enter that child into our prize drawing. Winners will be contacted to come to the library to pick up their prize.
Kids ages 4-12 are invited to participate in Doll Club. Registration is required, so please call the library at (304)873-1941 to register your child. Registering once lets us know your child will be part of the club and will not need to register or sign up again this school year.
Lego Club — 2020 Virtual Plan

We are excited to announce our fourth Virtual LEGO Club Challenge! For the month of January, we are asking all LEGO Club participants to build something with a trap door, secret passage or secret compartment. A castle with a secret passage? A room with a secret door? A ship with a hidden room? We hope to see some creative builds! Participants will have until Friday, January 29th to complete their LEGO build and send us a photo via Facebook Messenger at which point we will enter that child into our prize drawing. We will contact the winner to come into the library to pick up their prize.
