High School Football Season Comes to a Close

   The Big Six Football play offs skidded to a disappointing end with many of the games cancelled due to COVID-19’s Metric Map.

   The WVSSAC held a  Board Meeting where the unanimous decision was made after the Saturday (Nov. 28) Metrics Map was colored and indicated it would be unsafe to move forward with the play off games. 

   In Triple A the Cabell/Bridgeport game was eliminated with Mussleman not being allowed to play. Harrison County turned red leaving South Charleston as the AAA Champs. 

   Double A team Robert C. Byrd was to play Oak Glenn and the game was cancelled with the Golden Bears being    cknocked out leaving Fairmont Senior as the Double A Champions. 

   In Single A, St. Marys defeated Pendleton County and advanced to the final but Ritchie County turned red which left St Marys as the Champions.
