Salem Man Charged with 2nd Degree Murder

On November 12th,  Deputies from the Doddridge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Franks Run,off of Rt. 23. 

    The caller indicated that she had gone to her neighbor’s house to take care of the neighbor’s dog and found the back door ajar. She yelled through the house to see if anyone was there.

    She entered the house to find Laramie “Blue” Davis  on a chair, bleeding profusely.  There was a bloody club on the floor. 

   Upon arrival the Deputies found two women trying to give assistance to Davis and an unclothed man, Ian Knight, a 23 year old Salem resident, asleep on the couch. 

   Knight was arrested  with resistance and evidence found at the scene was the club, a broken cue stick, knives and hatchet. 

   It was reported that Knight indicated stated “I did it” and said he had to stab a guy a thousand times to get to the end. 

    Knight was charged with Second Degree Murder and is housed in the North Central Regional Jail under $250,000 Bond.
