Now, a man whose life was wicked, met a Christian one fine day,

And, they fell in conversation, as they walked along the way,

And, the Christians’ yoke was easy, for the blessing made him glad,

While the wicked one was stumbling, from the load of sin he had.

And, the Christian spoke rejoicing, and told the poor man how,

There was pardon for the asking, and the time to call is now.

Of the cleansing blood, the love of God, old story ever new, Of Peace within and freedom from sin; and it seemed too good to be true.

“I’ve been too bad, I can’t believe this thing,” the poor man cried,

“Nor that my life could be transformed, because Somebody died,”

But, it wasn’t just “ somebody,” who paid the awful cos, and took the guilt of sin away, wpon the middle cross,

For, Jesus is the “Prince of Peace,” the “ King of Kings” to be,

No common man, this virgin born, the son of God is He, And down the misty centuries, His Cross stands, strong and tall, To bring new life to everyone, He suffered death for all, With rising hope for the wicked one, with all his sin and dross, Cast his eyes on Jesus as he knelt before the Cross, When, Lo, a sweet voice whispered, “For that thou hast chosen me, Before this world was ever born, I too have chosen thee”!

Then, through his heart there swept such peach, ‘twas God’s eternal dawn

For everlasting life had come, and all his sins were gone. “ John Barleycorn” fell instant dead! Old “ Nicotine” was through, And, since he needed sweeter lips, there went cursing, too. Then, Christian, and his newborn friend, with glory, and to spare, Went on through life together, and they helped each other, there, And, not content to be alone, they took the Spirit’s sword, And they went to find somebody else, who did not know the Lord.

No one is or has been too bad to be saved, and know that God has forgiven his sins. All of us have sinned and each of us needs the save grace of Christ. If you want to know the Lord, you can know Him.    In Matthew 12:31, Jesus Himself says, “ ALL MANNER OF SIN AND BLASPHEMY SHALL BE FORGIVEN UNTO MEN.”

No matter what you have done, if you will repent of your sins and, forsaking them, turn to Christ in prayer, He will hear and answer. Pray right now, and believe fully that He Loves you and died for YOUR sins.
