Wirt County VS DCHS 

 Wirt received the opening kickoff, starting out their own 13-yard line. Wirt scored their first and only touch-down on an 85-yard pass play, PAT (Points After Touchdown) was good, with 10:28 left in the first the score was 7-0 Wirt. #24 Burnside recovered a Wirt fumble, returning it 65-yards for a touchdown. PAT was good making the score 7-7 at the end of the first. The Bulldogs scored with 8:40 left in the half, #24 Burnside scored on an 82-yard run. PAT by #46 Devinney was good Doddridge 14-7. Doddridge had three touch downs called back in the first half by penalties, ALL called by the same official. At the end of the first half  Bulldogs 14 Wirt 7. The Bulldogs received the ball to start the second half. Doddridge marched down the field and scored on a 7-yard run by #4 Knight PAT by #46 Devinney good. Score with 8:10 left in the third quarter, 21-7 Doddridge. Devinney added a 33-yard field goal with 36.8 seconds left in the third to make the score 24-7 Doddridge.  With 6:33 left in the game, Burnside scored on a 7-yard run,  the PAT was wide left making the score 30-7. At the 1:22 in the fourth #46 Devinney hit a 39-yard field goal making the score  Doddridge 33,  Wirt 7.  With 9 seconds to go in the game #10 Jenkins intercepted a pass to end the game. Jenkins is now 2 picks from the all-time interception record. The final score Doddridge 33, Wirt 7. The Bulldogs are 5-0 and ranked the number one  single A school. The Bulldogs will host Ravenswood this Friday, October 9.
