Important Doddridge County Schools Drop-Off, Pick-Up and Bus Information

Doddridge County Schools are changing the morning drop-off and evening pick-up at the Elementary and Middle Schools due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please do not arrive at the schools prior to 7:30 a.m. We will be using thermal scanners to test each child every morning.  The equipment will be monitored by a medical professional beginning at 7:30 a.m. No student will be permitted to enter the building prior to 7:30 a.m.

When you arrive in the morning please remain in your vehicle.  You will be shown where to park by a member of the transportation department.  A school employee will then take your child into the school.

When you arrive to pick-up your child, please remain in your vehicle.  A school employee will bring your child out to your vehicle.

It is very important that you remain in your vehicle at all times.  Please do not get out of your vehicle to talk to other parents or attempt to enter

the buildings. Parents are not permitted in the buildings.

Please schedule all doctor’s appointments after school hours.  If you have to pick up your child during the day you must call your child’s school building to make arrangements for the school to bring your child out to your car.

Bus Information:  All students, regardless of age, are required to wear masks on the bus.  Students will be seated from the back to the front as they get on the bus.  All siblings will sit together.

Students must ride their regular bus, unless in an emergency.  No bus passes will be given for students to ride other buses for non-essential reasons.

Please be patient the first several days as these new procedures take effect.  Bus pick-up and drop-off times may vary for the first several days.  Please expect longer delays in dropping off your child for the first several days.

We appreciate everyone’s patience during this time.  The safety of your children is our highest importance.  We have designed these procedures with your child’s health and safety in mind.
