LEPC Meeting Minutes
April 20, 2023
-In attendance were:

• Public Comments – Ms. Russel discussed the SERC Conference and that changes will need to be made to most LEPC’s HazMat Annex. Mr. Roberts discussed Anteros commitment to the community and offered the use of a new command trailer that will be housed here in the county, He also discussed the new facility and office being built in the county off of Piggin Run as well as the Clearwater facility starting back up with new offices being built there.
• Previous minutes from the October meeting were approved, Ms. Stickel made the motion and Mr. Eidel second
• Mr. Eidel discussed the receipt of three above ground storage tank reports that were available for anyone who would like to see them (HG Energy, Antero and MPLX)
• Mr. Eidel then gave an update on the two mitigation projects that he was working on, the Greenwood Elevation and Demolition and the Town Dam bot are ongoing.
• Mr. Eidel discussed the SERC conference and the focus on the LEPC to work on engaging the community more, discussion moved to the need for more involvement and volunteers. Ms. Stickel mentioned the upcoming volunteer training that will be held in June. More information will be put out in order to get the community involved.
Meeting was adjourned and went into the DC/RC 911 Advisory Board meeting. an email will be send out letting everyone know when the next LEPC Meeting will be held

• Public Comments – Ms. Russel discussed the SERC Conference and that changes will need to be made to most LEPC’s HazMat Annex. Ms. Decker discussed Anteros commitment to the community she also discussed the new facility and office being built in the county off of Gum Run Road next to the Clearwater facility. Ms. Stickel discuss the ongoing tick issue here in the county. There was a tick study done by the health department but didn’t find anything. She asked that if the oil and gas companies or citizens find ticks to bag them and bring them to the health department. She also discussed the volunteer training that was held in June, stating that there was only a couple of people who showed up, all were either health departments employees or board members. She is hoping to get more people involved.

• Mr. Eidel discussed the recent well pad explosion and fire in the St. Clara are of the county. He stated that HG Energy had not submitted an incident report at the time of the meeting. He was still waiting on a report from WVDEP as well.
