Energy Express
As we close out our 25th year of Energy Express in Doddridge County, we would like to take a moment to thank all the folks that helped us make this program possible.
First, we would like to thank all the parents who let their children participate in our program this summer! We enjoyed the time we were able to spend with them.
We would also like to thank all the folks at the Extension office: Zona, Kara, Spring, and Eva! They help keep us running smoothly.
Our special guest readers took time to visit our site and read to our students: Miranda Allen, Chad Ash, and Charlotte Ferguson. We would like to thank all our wonderful volunteers: Sally Randolph, Jairus and Grace Campbell, Josie Ash, Lilly Shepherd, Samara Mitchell, Hannah Cochran, Bailey Holden, Tyler Nicholson, Elias Beto, Owen Beto, Carly Ball, Abryanna Eakle, Taylor Richards, Rogan Smith, Wyatt Cochran, Caleb Skaggs, Emily Powers, Ella Powers, Lauren Childers, Kasey Underwood, Abby Gagnon and our friends from Nazareth Farm. The Fathers Hand, gave every student at Energy Express a brand-new pair of shoes this summer! We would like to thank Tina McCartney for all the great meals.
We would also like to thank: WVU Extension, AmeriCorps, Doddridge County BOE, and CEO’s, who provided funding, transportation supplies and a facility to have our program. Finally, I would also like to thank our team members, Lacey Shepherd, Jocelyn Atkinson, Jackson Holden, Abby Ash, and Andrew Ash. They worked very hard to make sure the kids had a fun summer! A special thanks to Zona Hutson! Thanks for all you do, Zona there would not be a program without you! Have a great school year, and we will see you all again next summer!
