Community Food Pantry
The Doddridge County Farmers 4-H Club has completed a new community service project. The club combined their own financial efforts with a Doddridge County 4-H Foundation Community Service Grant to place a blessing box food pantry at the Extension Office. Take what you need…..leave what you can.
Members worked hard on Saturday, July 15, to get the box installed and ready to go. President Chloe Mayle led members Dean Krier, Sophia Robinson, Jared Swiger, JW Swiger, Jacob Swiger, Aryannah Martin, Brayden Martin and Tessa Mayle in getting everything ready.
The box is loaded up and ready for use. The club plans to keep it stocked. If anyone would like to donate items for the food pantry, they can be brought into the Extension Office and given to Spring. Thank you to the Doddridge County 4-H Foundation for helping the Farmers Club make this project possible.
4-H & FFA Livestock Show & Sale
Monday – July 31 – 5 p.m. – Feeder Calf Show and Skillathon
Tuesday – August 1 – 5 p.m. – Livestock Show beginning with smallest species.
Wednesday – August 2 – 5 p.m. – Showmanship
Thursday – August 3 – 7 p.m. – Livestock Sale
There will be concessions provided daily (concessions will end at 2 p.m. on sale night to allow for the buyer’s dinner) by the Doddridge County 4-H program; breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Cash Only. Stop by to watch the shows and support the youth of Doddridge County.
