Dorothy Helen Scott Bode
Dorothy Helen Scott Bode, 96 of The Heritage, St. Mary’s, WV departed this life on Saturday, February 11, 2023 in Camden Clark Hospital, Parkersburg. She was born on February 28, 1926 a daughter of the late C. Clem and Molly Susan Jones Scott. On February 1, 1951 she married Edwin P. Bode who preceded her in death.
Dorothy was retired from the First National Bank of West Union where she was Assistant Vice President with 37 year’s service. She was a Charter Member of the Doddridge County Senior Citizens where she currently served as Vice President of the Board. Dorothy was a member of VFW Post 3408 Ladies Auxiliary for over 50 years and was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church where she served as Assistant Church Secretary and was a member of the Administrative Board.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 56 Front St. West Union on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Jay Powell and David McCauley presiding. Interment will follow in the Masonic Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
