Stanley Lewis Chipps

Stanley Lewis Chipps, 83 of Clarksburg departed this life on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport.  He was born on November 30, 1939 in Salem,a son of the late Ernest Lee and Susie May Bond Chipps.  He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Lucille Powell Chipps.

 Surviving are two sons, Stanley  Lewis Chipps Jr. (Jennifer Henline Chipps), West Union, Steven R.Chipps (Shawna) both of West Union, one daughter, Janie Cottrill (Tim), West Union, one step son, Clarksburg, grandchildren, Josh Cottrill, Logan  (Sara Beth)  Chipps, Whitney Marie Chipps, Kylee ( Dylan Cayton), Luke Chipps, three step grandchild, great grandchildren, Ander Lewis White, Paisley Hope Cayton, one step great grandchild, one brother, Cloyd Chipps (Carol)  Monongahela, Pa.  He was also preceded in death by one sister, Dora Mae Collins. Mr. Chipps was retired from The Clarksburg Police Department and as a Security Officer  for  The Harrison County Court House. He had also worked as a Security Officer for One Valley Bank. Stanley was a graduate of Doddridge

County High School and a member of Cascara United Methodist Church.

He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

 Funeral Services will be conducted in the Cascara United MethodistChurch WV  Rt. 23 North on Saturday, February 04, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Jason Balis presiding. The Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Mt. Clare.

The family will receive friends in The Cascara United Methodist church on Saturday, February 04, 2023 from 12 noon until time of service.
