City of Salem — Now Hiring

The City of Salem is looking  to  immediately fill the position of full-time Water/Police Clerk. Applicants must be highly motivated and able to work with little to no supervision while completing tasks accurately and in a timely manner. Applicants must have customer service, cash experience, and be familiar with Microsoft Office programs. The Water Clerk must accurately process and maintain water, sewer and garbage utility accounts which includes billing, scheduling work order, receiving payments and scheduling turns offs for nonpayment. Police Clerk duties include: submitting court remittance to the state monthly, sending out summonses, logging citations in docket book, receiving payments and be able to work over-time on court days. Applicants with prior experience are desired. The City of Salem offers retirement, fully paid insurance, and sick, vacation and personal leave after probationary period. Successful applicant will be subject to a pre-employment drug screen.
