Judith Elaine McCune, 74, of Farmdale, OH departed this life Sunday, October 10, 2021, at her residence.
Judith was born January 8, 1947, in Gilmore County, WV, a daughter to the late Jesse Leroy Sims and Caryl (Snyder) McPherson.
Judith worked at Veggie Farms and then Nescor Plastic Plant for many years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and decorating her yard. She also loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Judith is survived by her children, Edith Perine of Hillsboro, OH, Sandra Perine of New Milton, WV, Phillip McCune of Alliance, OH, and Julia Grubb of West Union, WV; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and sister, CoLette Thomas.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Franklin D. McCune and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 1pm on Saturday, October 16th, 2021, at McCullough Rogers Funeral Home in Pennsboro, WV with Dale Parker Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Point Pleasant Cemetery, in Oxford, WV. Visitation will take place 11:30am -1pm before the service on Saturday.

Ray Wayne Harper
Family and Friends said goodbye to Ray Wayne Harper on October 11th 2021. Ray was the 2nd of 6 children to Brooks and Opal Rinehart Harper. He was born at home on May 20th, 1932.
In 1950, Ray graduated from Cairo High School and shortly after was inducted into the army. After completing basic training he was shipped to Korea into the thick of battle. The truce was signed while he was still there, and he was discharged in Oct. 1954. In Jan, 1955 at the CHS basketball game he was introduced to his future wife Sandra Beth Sprang by his cousin Fay Harper. They were married July 9, 1955.
Ray lived a long and rewarding life, all of which he spent on Rt. 1 of Cairo, WV, except for his time while serving in the military. He was a man who enjoyed working hard. He was a farmer, timber man, and saw miller. He enjoyed other interests too like owning and riding horses, gardening, hunting and playing golf. At the age of 53 he retired from DuPont, but during those working years he continued to enjoy all his other endeavors.
It was a lifelong desire of Ray’s to make good choices and serve God, as his friends and family can attest. He faithfully attended Nutter Farm UMC, even while working his DuPont shifts. He was a member of Cairo AF & AM #114 Masonic Lodge, where he served various offices and served as Master of the Lodge. He was past Worthy Patron of Cairo Chapter #39 OES and a member of Pennsboro Commandery # 20.
Ray is survived by his wife of 66 years, 6 sons and their wives, 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Sons Mark (Jan) of Cairo, WV; Mike (Anita) of Lorain, OH; Matthew (Shauna) of Washington, WV; Brent (Tammy) of Cairo, WV; Scott (Kim) of Pennsboro, WV; and Brock (Tara) of Cairo, WV. He is also survived by his brother Donald (Charlotte) Harper and sister Louella Hannah-Reaser.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were three brothers, Brooks “June”, Roy, and Stanley Harper and sister-in-law, Mescal Grimm Smith.
Funeral services are to be held at 2 PM, Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Raiguel Funeral Home in Harrisville with NFUMC Pastor Tom Hall, former NFUMC Pastor Danny McVey and Pastor Dan Martin officiating. Interment will be at the Terry Cemetery, just a fourth of a mile from his home. Visitation will be Saturday from 4-8 PM. Masks would be appreciated.

Rodney “Buck” Kinney
Rodney “Buck” Kinney 68 of West Union departed this life on Thursday, October 14, 2021 in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. He was born at Central Station on November 1, 1952 a son of the late Russell and Ruth Nicholson Kinney.
Surviving are two brothers, Richard Kinney, West Union, Russell Kinney, Nutter Fort, and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ray, Ronnie & Robert Kinney.
Buck enjoyed hunting, riding four wheelers and all outdoor activities. He was a loving brother and uncle and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Private visitation and funeral services were held in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, West Union. Interment followed in the Masonic Memorial Park with Pastor Stephen Engle presiding. George Lawrence “Bud” Gagnon 84, of West Union passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at United Hospital Center. He was born on February 20, 1937 in Springfield, MA the son of the late Donald Arthur and Ruth Swift Gagnon.
George is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Susan Kathie Calhoun Gagnon; three sons, Jeremy, Central Station, WV, Lucas (Coyne), Moorefield, WV, Adam (Crystal), Big Isaac; one daughter, Dawn Bennett, Oneonta, NY; eight grandchildren, Alana Minor, Levi Bonner, Abby Gagnon, Maysun Gagnon, Amelia Gagnon, Cameron Cramer, Carson Cramer, Woodrow Gagnon.
