Give Cubs a Chance

A petition to: The WV Division of Natural Resources to stop the spring and summer chasing of WV black bear with packs of dogs.

Did you know that the WV Division of Natural Resources allows resident bear hunters to use packs of dogs to chase bear year round? Sows and cubs are especially vulnerable in spring and summer months. Being chased by a pack of hunting dogs is one of the many stresses that they may encounter at this time. When chased, sows with young cubs can be separated, resulting in orphaned or killed cubs. ALL wildlife deserves a chance to raise their young without being harassed.

I’m 60 years old and I’ve been a squirrel hunter for the past 55 years. I am not anti-hunting. I am a WV native, and I love WV and have always eaten wild game as a healthy choice. The act of chasing sows and cubs with packs of dogs for “sport” or “pleasure” in spring and summer is wrong and needs to stop. Please sign and share this petition.

Dear Editor,

I am about fed up with the application of rules regulations and baloney projected bye state federal and local officials regarding the covid 19 crap.

Forced vaccinations, wearing masks after vaccinations, the government overreach pertaining to vaccinations inflicted by employers to cater to the government officials. The CDC can’t make up its mind whether or not the follow the science.

And government agencies who will close their doors to the public they are supposed to serve in an effort to follow the regulations set up by the government!

September 3, 2021, I took today off and thought I have not had the  registration for my Ford vans for a year and a half. Covid 19 has closed the doors of the DMV, AGAIN.

I do not do business over the internet. I need the registration for my vans.

Friday September 3 2021, I arrived at the Moorefield office of the DMV for the purchase of my registrations. It would take approximately 20 minutes.

I had all the necessary required MBE for the transactions.

The sign on the the door flashed OPEN.

The doors were locked. Another sign said call this number for assistance. I called I got a stinking recording that referred me to the internet. What a stupid damn system.

The excuse? Covid!

I’m at the door, wearing a mask, paperwork in hand and the video camera would show I was not the only one needing assistance.

Not one of the uncaring PUBLIC employee came to the door to offer any assistance or explanation. We have to make an appointment.

Like you, I pay taxes on vehicles at purchase to the state and annually to the county requiring registrations and insurance, for the privilege of ownership and use.

Sounds like taxation without representation to me. I’m tired of catering to the whims of the S.O.B.s. (Before you get your panties in a bunch, S.O.B in this letter refers to Son Of a Biden). After the Afghanistan debacle I would not insult a female dog.

The DMV window has a plexiglass shield to protect the employees, I’m wearing a mask, the DMV has the card reader for payment outside of the shields, and the clerks can read without touching the paperwork required through the shield.

ZERO CONTACT WITH THE EVIDENTLY Diseased public. Yes I’m am most sorely vexed and insulted.

The same regulating government requiring compliance of their regulations, is so affraid of the regulated public, they can not provide the service they get paid to inflict on the regulated. Put that in layman’s terms, they actually were paid that day to not provide the service to the public they were paid to provide.

I have have tried at least three times in the last year and a half to get these registrations completed.

I work outside everyday, I risk life and limb on a construction site, and covid everyday without the benefit of over protecting myself, yet with all of the measures taken and mentioned above, the DMV cannot provide the services they get paid by you and I to provide? Yet September 1 2021, I paid my property taxes for these vans and cannot obtain the registrations.

Thank you, DMV. Your cowardly inaction is totally unappreciated.

Normally, I would as a former public employee I would appreciate the public employee plight. Today, not the DMV.

Example, the personal operating water pollution control facilities run a much higher risk than those sitting behind a plastic bubble wrap environment of the DMV. They are a heartier species. To the men and women of these facilities I pay you my respect and thanks! To the DMV, I say you earned your reputation.

To the all of our military I apologize for the inept leadership inflicted on you. I thank you for your service.

The various police agencies in me you always have an appreciative friend,

Our first responders, medical professionals thank you for your being there for all of us.

For anyone dealing with the DMV I’m sorry. I wish I could make it better for you.

Your friend,

Lloyd Brightwell
