Week 6 at Summer School/Energy Express was a success! The elementary and middle school students participated in many activities and games this past week!
The elementary school created popsicle stick picture frames, coffee filter butterflies, straw splatter paint and craft stick houses during their art class period. The students played games like Cookie Monster, different kinds of tag, red light-green light, and duck-duck-goose. During STEAM class students made bubbles and puffy paint.
The middle school students created animal habitats, toilet paper mummies, paint splatter art, a nature banner, and sidewalk chalk art this week in art. During the STEAM class students created helicopters, Sharpie tie dying and straw rockets. Additionally, students explored technology with virtual reality headsets. For recreational time students played dodgeball, kickball, basketball, went on a nature walk and played many other games.
Although there was not a field trip this week, all the students enjoyed Kona Ice, water activities, and fun games in the afternoon on Thursday!
