Lenora Dell “Holly” McCormick, 63 of Parkersburg went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Grantsville a daughter of the late Carl Newlon and Gladia Burrows McCormick. She was preceded in death by the father of her children and the love of her life Timothy Shepherd.
Surviving is one daughter, Amy Shepherd and fiancé Gary, Cutler, OH, three sons, Timothy Shepherd II (Angela), Salem, Jeremy Shepherd (Christie), Marietta, OH, Joshua Shepherd (Jessica) Parkersburg, grandchildren, Timothy, Evan, Lacey, Jasmine, Carlee, Abby, Lilly, Levi, John, Gavin, Graisa, Destiny,Jeremiah, Caelynn, Maleigha and Reagan, one great grandson, Tanner, sister, Betty Newlon, Harrisville, brothers, Bernard McCormick, Harrisville, Hoy McCormick, Mineral Wells, several nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death is one brother, three sisters and one daughter-in-law.
Holly was a former employee of Wncore Window Company where she took great pride in her work as a screen liner. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Holly had attended the Pike Church of God.
Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 56 Front St. West Union on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Mumbauer presiding. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, June 12, 2021 after 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
