Ruth Ann Primm, 82, of West Union, WV (Oxford Road Community) departed this life on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the home of her daughter in Morgantown, WV.
Ruth was born November 15, 1938, in Keyser, WV, a daughter of the late Albert and Carrie (Cavanaugh) Hamilton. She spent her life as a loving and caring homemaker for her family. Ruth loved being around people, cooking, and she loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She will be remembered as a faithful Christian “prayer warrior” who most recently attended the Pennsboro Church of God. Throughout her years, Ruth enjoyed singing in the church choirs and participating in various church activities.
She is survived by her two children, Jason Primm (Kendra) of Pennsboro, WV and Nicole Viars (Vincent) of Morgantown, WV; her grandchildren, Alex Viars and Isaac Viars (Lindsay); her great granddaughter, Sage Drennon; sister in laws, Bona Hamilton of Keyser, WV; Eula Hamilton of Keyser, WV; Mary Virginia Primm of West Union, WV (Oxford Road Community); brother in law, Paul Williams of Ripley, WV, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Loren Primm in 2015; brothers, Bob Hamilton; Fred Hamilton; sisters, Patricia McNemar; Jeanie Hamilton; brother in laws, Olin E. Primm and Charles Prim and sister in laws, Donna Williams and Ethel Prim.
Funeral services will be 1pm, Friday, June 4, 2021, at the McCullough Rogers Funeral Home in Pennsboro, WV with Bishop Paul Cantrell officiating. Following the service, a private family graveside will take place in the Cabin Run Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Friday at the funeral home.
