Geraldine Louise Fleming, 90, of Cherry Camp Rd. Salem departed this life on Monday, May 31, 2021 in Genesis Health Care Center, Salem. She was born on July 23, 1930 at Troy, a daughter of the late Glen C. and Merle Baker Brannon. Gerald Fleming, her husband of 73 years, preceded her in death on May 29, 2021.
Surviving are three sons, Reverend Danny G. Fleming (Joyce), Salem, Terry L. Fleming (Nanette), Salem, Steven L. Fleming, Fairmont, grandchildren, Annetta Payne, Melissa Teter, Alesha Bell, Jenny Fleming, Misty Samples and Julie McQueen, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Geraldine was preceded in death by one daughter Connie Darlene Fleming Robertson and one grandson Douglas Fleming. Mrs. Fleming was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Geraldine was a homemaker all of her life and in the late 50’s owned and operated Gerry’s Diner in West Union and also was a former employee of Harvey Industries in east Salem as a glass worker and Decorator.
It was Geraldine’s request to be cremated and a memorial graveside service will be conducted in the Masonic Memorial Park Rt. 18 N near Crystal Lake at the convenience of the family.
