Ronald H. Norman

  Ronald H. Norman, 82, of Springfield, Virginia died on April 23, 2021 in Alexandria after a short illness.

   A graveside funeral service was held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 30 at Fairfax Memorial Park with the Rev. James Bell, minister of The Village Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park. 

  Ron was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on February 5, 1939 to Harold D. Norman and Lora Cunningham Norman. He graduated from Doddridge County High School in 1957, and attended Salem College.

   He was married to Elizabeth Sutton for almost 50 years. Ron worked at the U.S. Government Printing Office (Washington, DC) in various positions during his 30 years of employment there. He was active as a volunteer at Word of Life International Church in Springfield, working with the sound system and other electronic equipment. Because his father had worked for the B & O Railroad,    Ron was interested in trains and railroads. His other interests included investing, watching Nascar races on TV, and listening to Gospel quartet music.

   He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Flora Norman McWilliams of Bridgeport, West Virginia. He is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth Norman.
