Alfonso “Al” Louis Romagnoli Jr, 89 of Salem passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at his residence with family by his side. He was born October 7, 1931 in Follansbee, WV, son of the late Alfonso Louis Romagnoli Sr and Adelina Sacchini Romagnoli. Al graduated from Follansbee High School, Bethany College and WVU. He served his country in the United States Army. He was an Economics Professor at Salem College for over forty years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Al is survived by his wife Irene Helen Mark Romagnoli whom he married on August 6, 1960; three children, Mark Alfonso Romagnoli, Morgantown, Suzanne Michelle Malone and Paul, Morgantown, Stephen Peter John Romagnoli, Grafton; four grandchildren, Catherine Malone, Alexis Malone, Jackson Malone and Jennifer Malone; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his siblings, Peter J Romanoli, Mary Frances Sanders, and Roseanne DeAngelis. A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory, Salem is handling the cremation and honored to serve the Romagnoli family.
