Doddridge County High School Ranked Second Best High School in West Virginia

Great Schools, a nationally respected nonprofit school rating company, named Doddridge County High School the second best public high school in West Virginia.  The company rates every school across the country in three criteria: Academics, Equity, and Environment.   Doddridge County High School received a 10/10 rating for Academics with strong performance in four-year graduation rate, Advanced Placement Course participation and the number of students enrolled in Dual Credit Courses.  Also helping the scores were low numbers in truancy and disciplinary problems.

In announcing the results Superintendent Adam Cheeseman said, “I am very pleased that the hard work of our entire district is being recognized.  From day one in Pre-K our students are being prepared for high school, where our students compete at the highest level academically.  I congratulate our entire staff, professional and service personnel, for their success.  I also wish to thank our community for their support, especially throughout the past year.”

Doddridge County High School Principal Katrina White agreed, “Our high school staff prides itself on establishing connections with our students throughout their high school career.  We are honored to receive such recognition. We, as well, appreciate all the support the community has given us. ”
