Cheryl Louise Blagg Rogers

   Cheryl Louise Blagg Rogers, 69 of Carolina Ave. Salem departed this life on Saturday, February 20, 2021 in her residence surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on May 1, 1951 in Salem a daughter of the late Henry and Retha Alice Alderman Blagg.  

   Surviving are one son, Jim Rogers, at home, one daughter, Jennifer Sondericker and husband Adam, Mt. Clare, grandchildren, Jay and Owen Sondericker, brothers, Dwain Blagg and wife Stephanie, Salem, Jerry Blagg and wife Sheila, New Concord, OH, two nieces Leah Blagg Collier, Delaware, OH, Lori Blagg Adams, New Concord, OH,  one nephew, Lance Blagg, New Concord, OH

   Cheryl retired from Salem University where she had worked in the library and in the Provost Office as an Administrative Assistant.  She had attended the Salem United Methodist Church. Cheryl was very involved in her children’s education being active in PTO as well as helping with Vacation Bible School at their church. She had worked as volunteer at the Bread of Life Food Pantry and enjoyed making apple butter.

   The family wishes to acknowledge WVU Hospice for the wonderful care.  A special thank you to Deban Clevenger for her excellent care she provided.

   A graveside service will be conducted in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Quiet Dell on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Bender presiding.  The family will receive friends in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 2-6 p.m.  In keeping with CDC guidelines masks must be worn and social distancing must be practiced. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Salem United Methodist Church or the Bread of Life Food Pantry, 42 South St. Salem, WV  26426.  Expressions of sympathy may be extended to the family at www.harbertfuneralhome.com.  Harbert Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Rogers/Blagg family.
