DCHS Football Player, Connor Cunningham Selected

From the moment he stepped onto the football field at the young age of 5, Connor Cunningham has been working towards his dream of making it big.

In May, he will be taking one step closer to that goal while he plays the Blue-Grey All American Bowl game at the Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium.  He was selected from a pool of 6,750 other prospects. Connor will be playing on the East team as Defensive End.  His family is extremely proud of his accomplishments and are excited for this next step.

Connor has played for Doddridge Middle and High School ever since arriving here in West Virginia six years ago.  He has played several positions with the most recent as the Tight End and Defensive End for the Bulldogs.

At 6’7” – 250 lbs, many will say Connor was a beast on the field.  Bobby Burnside said “It’s a rare opportunity for Connor to go and play at an All-Star football game in a professional stadium against players from around the country.  We are very excited for him.”  Connor will be staying in West Virginia this fall to play for the Concord University football team under the leadership of Coach Walker.

Connor will be a 2021 graduate of Doddridge County High School. He is the son of Brian and Kelly Cunningham of Greenwood; the grandson of the late Mario Cunningham (Sandra Cunningham), the late Jeanette (Worstell) Cunningham and the late Lester and Clara Robinson of Center Point.

While this is a great opportunity, it is also a great expense.  The family has started raising money for the trip and would appreciate any donations that the community felt led to give.  Donations can be mailed to the following address:
