Joseph Dennis Moore

   Joseph Dennis Moore, 70, of Bristol Rd. Salem departed this life in J.W. Ruby Hospital, Morgantown on Saturday, January 23, 2021.  He was born on November 7 1950 in Doddridge County a son of the late Robert Lee and Imojean Jean George Moore.  On July 12, 1973 he married Nancy Owens Moore who survives.

   Also surviving are one daughter, Pam Cutright and husband Ralph, West Union, two sons, Dennis Moore and wife Stephanie,  Joseph R. “Joey” Moore and wife Jamie, both of Salem, grandchildren, Josh and Jenna Cutright, Byron and Kelsey Moore, Alyssa and Joseph Barnes, great granddaughter, Laiken Cutright, two sisters, Mary Jane Kelly, MD, Naomi Weekley and husband Jerry, Salem, two brothers, Kenny Moore and wife Mary and Delbert Moore and wife Lorraine, both of Salem and several nieces and nephews, and his loyal dog companion, “Bella”.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Katherine Weekley, Sharon Gorby, Rebecca Forquer and one brother, David Moore, one brother-in-law Mike Kelley.

   Mr. Moore retired from Blue Dot Energy.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.  Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting and mechanic work.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

   Funeral services will be conducted in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Annie Owens presiding.  Interment will follow in the Point Pleasant Cemetery, Cherry Camp Rd.  The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 after 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  Expressions of sympathy may be extended to the family at www.harbertfuneralhome.com.  In keeping with CDC guidelines mask must be worn and social distancing must be practiced.  Harbert Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Moore family.
