On January 14, 2021, around 10:15 AM, County Fire and EMS apparatus were placed on a call for a truck fire on US Rt 50, east bound, between DCHS and Doe Run intersections.
Crews from the DCAA, West Union Volunteer Fire Department, Doddridge County OEMS, arrived to a fully engulfed tractor fire that had been hauling fly ash. Crews operated on scene until 1:30PM.
Others assisting with this fire and the clean-up involved included: WV DOH, WV DEP, Enviroclean, and Nicholsons.
There were no injuries.
