Rev. George E. Buechner, 78, of Lower Paxton Township, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital. He was born on May 4, 1941 in Syracuse, NY to the late Jesse and Ellen Buechner.
Rev. Buechner was a graduate of Syracuse University and the Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary. He served several parishes throughout Pennsylvania and was actively involved in the church’s organizations. He was currently a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Lower Paxton Township.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Carolyn J. Buechner, a son David J. Buechner and his wife Kathrine of Atlanta, GA and a daughter Kathleen M. Bell and her husband Ron of Masury, Ohio.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, PA 17109.
