On November 17, 2020, @ 8:00 am, an armed robber, dressed in camo and wearing a mask that was layered with a surgical mask over top it, entered the Salem Branch of the Summit Community Bank, tied up five people and robbed the bank of around $70,000. He then fled in a stolen vehicle which was found in the vicinity of Cherry Camp Rd.
Video Cameras in the area showed footage of a Black Chevy Silverado, believed to belong to a Clinton Monroe Utter from West Milford, leaving the Cherry Camp area.
A search warrant was for Utter’s home was obtained where around $35,000 cash was found along with zip ties comparable to those used during the robbery.
On November 25th, around 8:06 AM, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI, apprehended Utter without incident, during a traffic stop.
