Marsha Bowen Davis, 68 of Salem departed this life on Friday, October 9, 2020 in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. She was born on July 31, 1952 a daughter of the late Denver Gale and Zethra Chipps Bowen. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Aubrey Davis.
Surviving is one sister, Jane Steen, Enterprise, two brothers, Roger Bowen and wife Lola, Salem, Jerry Bowen, Shinnston, brother & sister in law, Stan Lee & Tracie Davis, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Nevin Steen, nieces, Brandi K. Bowen, Tammy Foley, nephew, Cary Wayne Bowen.
Marsha was a 1970 graduate from Salem High School. She retired from Salem International University as a Food Service Worker with 20 year’s service. She enjoyed watching her nieces and nephews play sports and helping with Brandi K. Bowen Scholarship fund raisers. Marsha enjoyed spending time with family, friends and neighbors.
Graveside services will be conducted in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 1:30 p.m., with Pastor Chad Ash presiding. The family will receive friends in the Harbert Funeral Home 287 W. Main St. Salem on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mask must be worn and social distancing must be practiced.
