DC HISTORICAL SOCIETY RECEIVES GENEROUS DONATION FOR THEIR DIGITIZATION OF NEWSPAPERS PROJECT

Jan Chapman, son of Ed Chapman, owner of Key Oil Company, and graduate of Doddridge County High School, donates $3,500 to the Doddridge County Historical Society for their digitization project of the county’s local newspapers dating from the 1930s to the late 1970s.  The Historical Society was pleasantly surprised and very appreciative for his generous donation.

Other kind and generous citizens who have given much needed donations for the project are:  Greg Barton of Ellenboro, Lisa Maxwell Meyer of New York, Chris Butera, Ken Adams of Cairo, Judy Bee of Greenbrier, Lee Brice, Richard Beck of New Milton, Janet Hawes of VA, Richard Haney, Steven Butcher, Ann Stout Newman, Cecil Polan, Patricia Harris, and others wishing to remain anonymous.  We appreciate every donation from the smallest to the largest.  God Bless everyone for their generosity.

Don’t forget.  Should you give a donation of $1,000 or more, you will receive your own digitized copy of the thousands of issues of the West Union Record, West Union Herald, and the Salem Herald.

Total raised as of this date:  $ 7,745.00, leaving only $2, 255 to reach our goal.  God bless everyone.  You have been so kind and generous.
