On October 12, 2020, Doddridge County representatives in WestMon-Ty Resource Conservation Development, James Fostor and Clinton Means donated on behalf of West Mon -Ty, four American Chestnut Trees to the Director of the Doddridge County Park, to be planted in the area of the Hickory Ridge School.
West Mon-TY is a one of three Conservation Districts in the State, made of twelve counties. Each county in the District recieved four trees to plant in hopes this will encourage the re-growth of the American Chestnut in the State.
