Pauline Marie Cottrill, 95 of Salem departed this life on Monday, September 14, 2020 in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. She was born on December 3, 1924 at Cox’s Mills, Gilmer County a daughter to Manfred and Eunice Maxson Bode. On March 11, 1944 she married Charles Cottrill who preceded her in death on April 15, 1978.
Surviving are one son Charles Cottrill and wife Sheena, Salem, one sister, Roena Kelley and husband Charles, Stone Mountain, GA, two brothers, Raymond Bode and wife June, Greensboro, NC, Berlin Bode and wife Betty, Clarksburg. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Cottrill, one sister, Wilma Griffin and one brother, Kenneth Bode.
Mrs. Cottrill enjoyed taking walks, bowling, gardening and was a fabulous cook. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Graveside services will be conducted in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dave Carpenter presiding. The family will receive friends at Harbert Funeral Home on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 12 noon to 12:30 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be extended to the family at www.harbertfuneralhome.com.
