Important Information from the Doddridge County Schools

Doddridge County has seen a dramatic increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the last week. In an attempt to reduce the number of cases, and out of an abundance of caution, Doddridge County Schools will again use a staggered class schedule for the 2nd week of the school year. On Monday, September 14, Grades Kindergarten, 5th and 9th will report to school. On Tuesday, September 15, Grades 1st, 2nd, 6th and 10th will report to school.On Wednesday, September 16, Grades 3rd, 7th and 11th will report to school.On Thursday, September 17, Grades 4th, 8th, and 12th will report to school.Pre-K, Group A will report to school on Monday, September 14th and on Tuesday, September 15th.Pre-K, Group B will report to school On Wednesday, September 16 and on Thursday, September 17th.Students will not report to school on Friday, September 18th, which is a previously scheduled Non-Traditional Instructional Day which will be used for a deep-cleaning of our facilities.Doddridge County Schools is working closely with the Doddridge County Health Department to monitor the number of COVID-19 cases. By limiting the number of persons in our buildings at one time we wish to reduce the chance of Community Spread of the disease. Every Saturday at 5:00 PM the State Department of Education publishes a color-coded map that determines school activities. In the event that the number of COVID-19 cases continues to increase, additional information will be forthcoming regarding any change to our plan.#UnitedToMakeADifferenceAdam
