On Friday morning, September 4,  2020, Main Street  in West Union was alive with numerous  policemen, due to  a joint investigation  between the Doddridge County Sheriffs Dept, and the West Union Police Dept. coming to a conclusion. With the help of WVSP and WVNRP, a search warrant was served on a residence at 402 Columbia St. that resulted in the arrest of three individuals, Misty Dawn Cottrill, who was charged with three counts of possession with the intent to deliver. 1 count for methamphetamine, 1 count for Xanax’s and 1 count for Hydrocodone and David Lytle and Joseph Steele who were both charged with one count each for methamphetamine.  Ms. Cottrill made bond and both male subjects were transported to the North Central Regional jail.

Ms Cottrill was then arrested in Ritchie County after Deputy Garner met with Ritchie County Sheriff Deputies Cox and Mossor on a follow up about a vehicle belonging to one of the arrested males being located at a residence. While the officers were at that residence  Ms. Cottrill arrived and she was taken into custody. Also while there Mr. Gary Underwood of Center Point was also located and taken into custody for bond violations out of Doddridge County.
