Donna Beth (Yoke) Armentrout, 73, of Hope Mills, NC passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Clarksburg, WV, the oldest of three children to Kenneth and Madelyn Yoke. On August 21, 1965 she married David Neil Armentrout
who precedes her in death. Donna is also preceded in death by her parents.
Donna is survived by her daughter Tracey (Armentrout) Borden of Keene, NH, and daughter and son-in-law Sheri (Armentrout) and Buzz Slade of Hope Mills, NC, four grandchildren, Maddie and Becca Slade of Hope Mills, Jake Borden of Pittsburgh, PA and Justin Borden of Keene. She is also survived by her sister Sharren (Yoke) Bobier, of Walker, WV and her brother and sister-in-law Rick and Maria Yoke of Clarksburg.
Donna was a phlebotomist at Knox Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon, OH for over 30 years. In retirement, David and Donna sold their home in Mt. Vernon and divided their time between West Union, WV and Hope Mills. No matter what the address, each house that Donna inhabited and made her own became “home” to her family and friends when they came for a visit.
Graveside services will be conducted in the Masonic Memorial Park in West Union, WV at 1pm on Friday, August 28 with Pastor Jim Messenger presiding. The family will receive friends and family in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, West Union on Friday morning from 11 am – 12:30. Social distancing will be practiced and masks are to be worn.
