The historic 2020 Primary Election Season of COVID-19 and riots has finally come to a close after delaying the Primary Election from it’s set date of May 12, 2020 to June 9, 2020.
The traditional whirlwind season of door knocking, dinners, shaking hands and kissing babies screeched to a halt leaving the candidates to introduce themselves in a less than satisfactory manner.
In Doddridge County around 1108 voters took advantage of Absentee Voting, 174 voters voting early and 840 voters on Election Day to bring the total number of voters to 2122 out of 4477 registered voters.
Masks along with gloves were offered to those voting in person with Q-tips being used to touch the screens of the voting machines to vote, reducing the potential of possibly spreading the COVID-19 germs.
Below you will find the Unofficial Totals, with the Canvassing to take place on June 15, 2020 and June 18, 2020 being the date the Commission will Certify the Totals.
